Responsibilities :
- Receive new merchandise from factories and prepare garments and accessories to be shipped directly to our customers or to our retail stores
- Select customer orders
- Box or bag customer orders for shipping
- Receive customer returns, inspect products, and prepare garments and accessories to be returned to inventory
- Select retail store inventory
- Box retail store’s shipments
Qualifications :
- Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detail instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to be flexible and multi-task.
- Ability to work with people, collaboratively.
- Ability to make judgment calls on quality.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with good organization and time management skills.
- 0+ years of experience in a Distribution Center or similar environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to communicate by listening and verbally speaking with associates and managers, extensive standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling and maneuvering within the Distribution Center floor. Required to be able to walk upstairs, Stooping, crouching, and kneeling and squatting. Ability to lift and carry 30+lbs, etc.

Since I started there has been a phenomenal core group of leaders and associates who have helped me develop as a professional and an individual. Everyone does a great deal for one another. It's the people I am around every day that are most enjoyable and the comradery that goes into achieving a common goal.
When I first started here at J.Jill, I had a lot going on in my life and the customer Contact Center offered flexible schedules and the team really understood my need for work life balance. Eventually, when I was ready for advancement, I learned that there was so much room for growth within the company. I have been promoted multiple times and now, more than 20 years later, I hold a significant management role.
J Jill offered tuition assistance when I was in school, they provided paid leave when I had my children, and were great with accommodating my schedule when I needed to take care of my family. As a woman, I also have had some challenging life’s obstacles that I was able to overcome through our Employee Assistance Program. Since my first day, my team has made me feel welcome and supported.
