Performs functions to support the retail distribution operation, including preparing retail / outlet store orders, material handling-which may sometimes require powered industrial truck usage, mark-down and value add, cross-train into other departments within the DC and will perform non-routine tasks as needed while adhering to J. Jill safety, productivity and quality standards.

• Prepares merchandise for shipment to retail and outlet stores by accurately verifying SKU information, counting and transferring merchandise into totes / cartons in the merchandise prep and pack operations.     

• Assists the store merchandise prep and pack operations by adding and / or removing cartons to prepare merchandise for delivery to stores, processing outbound cartons by applying season labels and guiding cartons through automated tape and labeling machines, and reporting issues that may arise due to processing demands.

• Prepares value add function of preparing merchandise for new store deliveries by removing merchandise from poly bags, inserting garment hangers, and neatly repacking into outbound cartons.

• Prepares mark-down tasks by applying appropriately priced mark-down label to existing garment price tickets as required.

• PkMS and RF device knowledge helpful.

• Ability to use sound judgment in order to carry out detailed instructions.

• Effective problem solving skills.

• Effective time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and attention to detail.

• Ability to perform well under pressure / time constraints.

• Good communication skills.

• Must be a team player.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Listening, talking, Standing all day, walking, Bending, reaching overhead, pulling/pushing, repetitive motion, lifting up to 40 lbs

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 0+ years of experience in a Distribution Center or similar environment.
