Merchandise Coordinator

We are seeking a Merchandise Coordinator to manage samples for all apparel departments at J.Jill. You will collaborate with merchants and product development teams to ensure accurate samples arrive on time for all photoshoot needs and ensure samples are properly documented, organized, and labeled. You will interface and collaborate with several cross-functional teams, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills. A penchant for problem solving and meeting deadlines is a must.

• Work with Merchants, and Product Development teams to understand and adhere to sample requirement timelines and processes, ensuring samples are tracked & available on time.
• Maintain sample room organization and documentation, recommend opportunities to improve sample library system as needed.
• Partner with Merchandise Coordinator, Accessories to prep, organize, pack, and ship all samples and associated documents for photoshoots and organize sample returns post-shoot.
• Maintain a swatch library: complete “swatch books” for each collection & collaborate with Creative team to ensure swatch books are available when needed.
• Be available to pull samples on an ad hoc basis as needed to support key meetings / requests.
• Support Creative Merchandising team with administrative tasks, reports, and projects as needed.

Education / Experience:

• College, 4 years preferred
• 1-2 years of retail or similar experience

Physical Requirements:

• Periods of time sitting and standing, working at a desk and on a computer.
• Ability to communicate information and observe details at close range.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required
