Overview :
Are you ready to shape the future of a long-standing women’s apparel brand? With 240+ stores and counting, we're on an ambitious journey to grow our retail footprint, introduce our brand to new customers, and strengthen relationships with our core, loyal customers through our retail experience. We’re looking for a passionate, strategic, and innovative Retail Marketing Manager to lead the charge. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of our expansion plans, crafting and executing marketing strategies that drive foot traffic, build brand love, and fuel growth across our nationwide footprint.
Responsibilities :
Retail Strategy:
- Create and execute high-impact new store opening strategy to deliver customer file, traffic, and sales goals.
- Own dynamic retail events strategy and execution to drive incremental customer trips and new to brand customer acquisition.
- Identify and execute innovative strategies to deliver improved retail marketing that drives efficient incremental traffic and customer acquisition.
- Communicate clear and timely results and implications for future initiatives.
Partnership Management:
- Work directly with the paid digital, ecommerce and CRM teams to secure dedicated exposure for all local and grand opening marketing initiatives.
- Partner with retail operations team to leverage the field to implement marketing priorities in store {Brand Campaigns, Strategic Merchandising and Business Priorities, Promotions, Email/SMS Acquisition goals, etc}.
- Work directly with the creative team to ensure the content and creative treatment of all local marketing and grand opening initiatives reflect the strategic direction and priority of messaging in an engaging and compelling manner.
- Partner with the analytics team to provide a detailed overview of every retail test including objective and metrics for success.
- Manage the relationships with the developers and mall management to secure every brand-appropriate marketing asset available on behalf of each store to increase awareness of J.Jill and drive new customers.
Reporting, Measurement, and Budgeting:
- Consistently report on New Store performance for the marketing organization.
- Partner with the rest of the marketing team to leverage existing channels (email, print, digital, SMS) to support retail goals.
- Key KPIs for this role include achieving customer file growth targets, driving the traffic plan, and delivering strong retail marketing performance across channels
- Manage the expenses for all retail grand opening and local marketing activities.

Qualifications :
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, MBA preferred
- 5+ years of retail marketing experience
- Word, Excel, and strong PowerPoint skills
- Experience in developing and executing retail marketing strategies
- Experience managing complex budgets effectively
- Excellent project management and analytical skills
- Ability to speak directly and confidently with all cross-functional partners
Travel and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel to retail locations nationwide and J.Jill’s distribution center as needed up to 25%
- Light to moderate lifting up to 25 lbs may be required
