Design Internship - Summer 2026

We are excited to announce the J.Jill Internship Program – our 10-week paid summer internship running from June through August 2026. Designed for rising juniors and seniors, this program provides hands-on exposure to a leading specialty retail company. Interns will contribute to daily business activities within their assigned departments while also gaining a broader understanding of J.Jill through cross-functional learning opportunities. This is a full-time program based at our office in Quincy, Massachusetts.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and creative Design Intern to join our Design team. This role offers hands-on experience across all phases of the product development cycle – from early concept exploration and competitive research to fittings, cross-functional collaboration, and final product approval. The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion design, highly detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast paced team-drive environment.

• Conduct trend and market research to identify emerging silhouettes, materials, color, and customer preferences
• Assist with sketching, updating CADs, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date line sheets using Adobe Illustrator
• Help create and revise garment construction pages and tech packs
• Participate in fit sessions, take clear notes, and help communicate revisions to relevant partners
• Assist with day-to-day design tasks and special initiatives that help drive seasonal collections forward

• Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Design
• Strong passion for design and a solid understanding of current fashion trends, with an eye for detail, proportion, and color
• Demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also taking initiative and working independently
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of the J.Jill customer, aesthetic, and product categories is preferred
