Senior Manager E-Commerce Solution

Overview :

The Senior Manager E-Commerce Solutions applies leadership qualities to manage an E-Commerce software development team and provide website enhancements to the company’s burgeoning E-Commerce Channel. In this role you will manage the channel as a diligent, organized, and self-disciplined technical manager. This role is accountable for providing on-time delivery of planned website releases for E-Commerce and enterprise initiatives and works closely with other technology teams, including Enterprise Integration, other application development teams, functional business partners, and external vendors.


Responsibilities :
  • Manages the team of E-Commerce developers
  • Builds, hires, and mentors the team members
  • Performs resource planning, setting objectives and conduct performance reviews
  • Attracts, retains, motivates, and develops talent
  • Provides leadership, coaching, direction, and technical guidance to the direct report
  • Builds high performing team to deliver a higher standard of technical excellence
  • Builds and maintains the roadmap to modernize the eCommerce platform
  • Contributes to the architecture reviews
  • Anchors and/or make technical design discussions and decision
  • Performs periodic design and code reviews to ensure high standards are being maintained
  • Performs the role as technical product owner, as needed for technical projects and items
  • Collaborates with the product owners, business operations, customer care, quality management, infrastructure, security. and support teams, as needed
  • Builds and delivers using SDLC and/or agile practices
  • Establishes/enhances best industry practices in the development process, including coding standards
  • Manages and oversees the successful delivery of initiatives and releases in the E-Commerce space
  • Builds and delivers simple, scalable, secure, reliable, and high performing state-of-the-art E-Commerce solution
  • Cultivates, disseminates, and enforces departmental policies and procedures, e.g., PMO and Change Management 
  • Preaches and practices quality. Partners with the QA team to deliver quality releases. Ensures the delivery of high-quality development code by building and enforcing guidelines and best practices
  • Researches and makes recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Assesses and cultivates long-term strategic goals for the IT area of responsibility in conjunction with department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders
  • Works in business-facing roles to contribute throughout the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of complex and large-scale technology solutions
  • Leads and manages on-shore, near shore, and off-shore development teams and vendors
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure the E-Commerce teams projects stay aligned with the needs of the business
  • Communicates to upper management periodically
  • Manages resource hours for project and provide weekly project updates
  • Has availability during non-core hours such as early morning or late night, especially during release, etc.
  • Participates in on-call rotation, as needed
  • Participates in root cause of P1 and P2 production incident and provide recommendations
  • Shoulders additional or changed responsibilities within ecommerce technology team

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise E-Commerce platforms (required)
  • 8+ years of experience working within an agile and/or software development life cycle
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience of leading/managing teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience with React
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microservice and API
  • 3+ years’ experience with WebSphere Commerce
  • 3+ years of experience of leading/managing offshore development teams
