E-Commerce Web Analyst

Overview :

The Ecommerce Web Analyst provides data-driven analysis and insights to facilitate Ecommerce decisioning, and collaborates with key stakeholders and third party analytics vendors to ensure best in class analytics tracking configuration and measurement methodologies.

Responsibilities :

    • Builds and maintains dashboards and tools that provide insight into the performance of Ecommerce channel efforts, including but not limited to: web merchandising, site content, user experience, conversion funnels, device behaviors, promotions and traffic trends
    • Helps inform short and long-term data-driven strategies to achieve Ecommerce channel revenue and profit goals
    • Provides analytics support to Ecommerce, Merchandising, Creative and Marketing teams to measure performance of efforts, identifying key success metrics and building appropriate reporting that provides insight into the performance of initiatives and approaches within each area
    • Partners with Ecom business teams to define digital tracking and measurement requirements, and works closely with IS on the establishment, coordination, management and QA of tracking parameter implementations across the data layer and Adobe Analytics
    • Develops processes and methodologies to automate reporting and dashboards
    • Supports site content and user experience A/B test design and execution; analyzes and shares test results with Ecommerce and cross-functional team to drive ongoing website optimizations
    • Partners with other Analytics function areas within the organization to share learnings and align on methodologies and best practices
    • Stays informed about, communicates, and applies current or new trends, and best practices in web analytics

Qualifications :

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics or like web analytics tools required
  • Agile Excel skills (pivots, index match, offset, etc.) required
  • Understanding of Ecommerce KPIs related to traffic, engagement/user experience and conversion
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Experience with predictive/descriptive statistics, sampling, and hypothesis testing via statistical packages (R, Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc)
  • Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of database models preferred
  • Strong data interpretation and communications skills; proven ability to summarize and present complex findings clearly and concisely to various management levels
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources
  • High degree of organization, accuracy and flexibility; exceptional attention to detail
  • Inquisitive and in constant pursuit of innovative ways to drive results
  • High energy, positive “can do” attitude and self motivated
  • Team player and collaborative


  • Minimum BA or BS degree
  • 2+ years reporting/analysis experience in an online environment
  • 2+ years of business analysis experience in large size companies with multiple functions / business units preferred
