Overview :

Supporting the execution and creation of brand right products along with input on sourcing strategy for Accessories with direct responsibility over several categories.  Supports the product development, sourcing, and production of these items. Works closely with internal cross-functional teams in Design, Merchandising, Planning, Quality and Compliance as well as regular communication with agents and vendors, both overseas and domestic, to help ensure development of brand right products while adhering to financial goals, quality standards, and on time delivery.


Responsibilities :
  • Supports the development process under the direction of the Sr. Manager.  Works with cross-functional teams in Design, Merchandising, and Product during the development process to ensure that Accessories products meet brand defined design aesthetics while aligning with departmental strategic sourcing and financial goals. 
  • Ensure all development adheres to brand calendar product development milestones.
  • Categories include: Handbags, Totes, Scarves, Ponchos, Ruanas, Footwear, Legwear, Cold-Weather
  • Coordinates with Design and Merchants to develop product and material standards and communicates with supply chain. Follows up with vendors to receive cost quotes and maintain assortment shells, costing tools and IMU calculators throughout development process.
  • Creates tech packs for development and final production, partnering with Technical Design.
  • Maintains cost breakdowns and final costs. Confirms final costs with offices, agents and vendors.
  • Communicates estimated units by style and issues commits and PO’s once assortment is finalized and buy is approved.
  • Validates and manages work in progress reports (WIPs) from vendors, insuring goods are handed over on time.

Qualifications :
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive problem solving skills.
  • Math skills needed to determine costs and margins.
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. 
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, able to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Sense of urgency and strong time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work, prolonged periods of time working at a desk and on a computer.
  • Ability to communicate information and observe details at close range.
  • Light lifting may be required

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3+years of experience in a similar position.
