Assistant Designer

Overview :

Provide support to the Design team through all phases of development. Assists in the development, concept, and design of the product line.

Responsibilities :
  • Sketch all seasonal designs in Adobe Illustrator and prepare line review presentation materials
  • Support the design team in sourcing and selecting suitable fabrics, washes, trims, and embellishments for garment prototypes and production.
  • Attend all style fittings and provide input/feedback as necessary; Keep detailed notes from all fittings.
  • Communicate with domestic and overseas vendors to ensure that all requests, changes, updates, etc. are handled in a quick, concise, and thoughtful manner.
  • Research competitive markets through shopping, internet, and print media research. Assist in identifying seasonal fashion direction and brand right trends.
  • Research, develop, track, and approve all design trims for each collection within a season.
  • Organize all style and trim information for reference and easy access.
  • Previous experience or internships in fashion design preferred.

Qualifications :
  • Strong sketching ability in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of Web PDM, Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with garment construction.
  • Basic knowledge of fabric qualities for the garment industry.
  • Passion for fashion, creativity, trends, and aesthetics.
  • Ability to multi-task, think outside the box, be open-minded and optimistic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present ideas


  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 0-1 years of related experience.
