Finance Intern

As a Finance Intern within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Department, you will gain hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of financial analysis and strategic planning in the retail industry. This 10-week paid internship offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with our finance professionals, contribute to critical projects, and gain insights into the financial operations of an omnichannel women's retail company. This program is a full-time summer commitment that currently follows a hybrid schedule, so interns will be expected to work partially on-site and partially at home.

• Financial Analysis: Assist in conducting financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making, including but not limited to forecasts, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Generate and analyze internal reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by FP&A team members.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with interns in other departments to complete a team assignment and present to leadership.
• Attend round table sessions to learn from J.Jill leadership.

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Passion for the retail industry and a desire to learn about finance within this industry.
