PLM and EDI Systems Technical Lead

Quincy, MA

Overview :

The PLM & EDI Systems Technical Lead is responsible for systems and services in support of J.Jill Product Design, Product Development, and Sourcing teams.  Collaborates on technical solutions with internal and vendor technical resources on behalf of business to ensure our requirements are met to support existing systems and to deliver new projects.  Acts as internal subject matter expert for areas of interest including: PLM, CAD, EDI, and related systems. This role requires strong analytical, technical and communication skills to work as the key contributor to ensure functionality and performance for the business and to integrate with other systems in the entire enterprise.

Responsibilities :
  • Day-to-day systems administrations and support of all EDI and PLM modules – Gerber, Power Grid and related systems
  • Works with the business and other IS departments to:
    • Deliver solutions that are on-time, within-budget, and align with company and industry standards and strategies
    • Consider issues/solutions related to integration, security, and data quality
    • Help troubleshoot complex problems from a technology perspective
    • Work with the infrastructure and integration teams on applying fixes, enhancements, patches and hot fixes coordinating with Yunique and Singletree
    • Develop functional requirements and technical specifications for changes and enhancements to meet business needs
    • Test internal and vendor software modifications through rigorous software development processes
    • Organize Test Planning and participate in identification and resolution of defects associated with test execution
    • Organize and administer acceptance and rollout of software modifications

Qualifications :
  • Working knowledge of product life cycle for apparel and/or footwear retailer
  • Knowledge and capability with EDI, Yunique PLM,  Accumark, and/or CAD is a plus
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities while working in a varied, fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (Technical, Functional, Cross-functional)
  • Quality and detail-oriented with a process-oriented approach to analysis and design
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently a must
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Familiarity and adherence to system development life cycle processes and procedures
  • 4+ years of experience with EDI and PLM systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; computer science or related technology degree preferred
  • Experience with apparel or footwear domain desired
  • Project Management experience strongly preferred
