Financial Analyst Company Planning - Retail

Quincy, MA

Overview :

Supports planning, forecasting, and analysis of company sales, gross margin and inventory by channel to support achievement of company financial plans and strategic initiatives.


Responsibilities :
  • Supports company planning modeling system to track and forecast total company sales, gross margin and inventory by week by channel
  • Assists to prepare company financial plans by week each fiscal year and quarter
  • Prepares detailed daily sales and gross margin forecasts for each month by channel
  • Performs various sales and gross margin analyses to better understand company sales trends
  • Liaisons with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to assist in fully reconciling company planning financials to corporate finance estimates
  • Develops ad-hoc analyses and financial perspective in support of corporate strategic direction
  • Partners with cross-functional analytical staff to understand and incorporate relevant promotional analysis into Company Planning forecasts
  • Continuously analyzes and evaluates channel and store-level performance to plan to better understand holistic company results
  • Assists in analyzing product lifecycle strategies and performance in relationship to both full price and off-price business
  • Continuously evaluates the impact of cross-channel strategies and internal impact

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field
  • 2+ years of related work experience in a financial planning or comparable environment
