Ecommerce Solutions Architect

Overview :

The E-Commerce Solutions Architect helps to architect a modern, simple, scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performing ecommerce website. In this role you will facilitate the architect and design of the E-Commerce solution and the platform, work closely with other technology teams, including Enterprise Integration, other application development teams, functional business partners, and external vendors.

Responsibilities :
  • Builds and maintains the technology roadmap to modernize the E-Commerce platform
  • Measures and matures architectural and design practice
  • Establishes/enhances architectural and design standards
  • Builds architectural diagram, data models, and reference diagram
  • Anchors and leads architecture reviews
  • Provides architectural briefing on a regular basis
  • Keeps in touch with the latest and emerging technology trends
  • Researches and makes recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Leads the proof of concept to try new tools/framework and provides the point of view and recommendations for the implementation
  • Hosts lunch and learn technical knowledge sessions on the topic of interest
  • Provides guidance on security vulnerability management for remediation/mitigation
  • Provides coaching, direction, and technical guidance
  • Anchors and leads technical design discussions and decision
  • Designs and performs design reviews
  • Codes and performs code reviews to ensure high standards are being maintained
  • Performs deployment plan review
  • Performs the role as technical product owner, as needed for technical projects and items
  • Collaborates with the product owners, business operations, customer care, quality management, infrastructure, security. and support teams, as needed
  • Establishes/enhances best industry practices in the development process, including coding standards
  • Builds simple, scalable, secure, reliable, and high performing state-of-the-art E-Commerce solution
  • Preaches and practices quality. Partners with the QA team to deliver quality releases. Ensures the delivery of high-quality development code by building and enforcing guidelines and best practices
  • Assesses and cultivates long-term strategic goals for the IT area of responsibility in conjunction with department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders
  • Works in business-facing roles to contribute throughout the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of complex and large-scale technology solutions
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure the E-Commerce teams projects stay aligned with the needs of the business
  • Communicates to upper management periodically
  • Has availability during non-core hours such as an early morning or late night, especially during release, etc.
  • Participates in on-call rotation, as needed
  • Participates in the root cause analysis of P1 and P2 production incident and provide recommendations
  • Shoulders additional or changed responsibilities within the eCommerce technology team

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise E-Commerce platforms
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience of ecommerce solution architect or lead ecommerce software-engineer/developer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience with React
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microservice and API
  • 3+ years’ experience with WebSphere Commerce
